Brand New Fave: Nars Cordura
Hi Beauties!
Everything from the blushes (which are any makeup lover's must have) to the foundations and eyeshadows are such high quality. Hence, I decided to continue adding to my Nars stash with this pretty color combination.
In the packaging this doesn't really look like much but I swatched it at my local Sephora and I think my heart skipped a beat. The brown color is a perfect shade of bronze with a dusting of gold sparkle (not glitter). The darker side is a deep brows/black with similar gold sparkle. These colors could be used together or individually depending on your look.
Do you own this Duo already? What do you think?
XOXO,
Awilda

FOTD: Ashley Greene 60's Inspired Makeup
How lovely!
I love everything about this look: the hair, the lashes and the white eyeliner.
Look created my Celebrity makeup Artist: Vanessa Scali.
To start, Vanessa evened out Ashley's "nearly flawless skin" with Lancôme's Effacernes concealer in Light Bisque underneath the eyes. "It gives clean, fresh, flawless coverage," she said. Bobbi Brown's Foundation Stick followed. Lancôme's Blush Subtil in Shimmer Pink Pool topped the apples of the cheeks.
For Ashley's dramatic eyes, Vanessa swept YSL's Fard Lumiére Aquarésistant Cream Eyeshadow in Pink Sands over the entire eye. To define and elongate the lash line, Vanessa used Lancôme's Artliner in Black and lined the inner rims with Shu Uemura's Painting Liner in White. The finishing touch: a few generous coats of Lancôme's Ôscillation Mascara in Black for "seductively lengthy lashes," says Vanessa. Ashley's brows were sculpted with Lancôme's Le Crayon Poudre in Brunet.
Finally, Lancôme's lipstick from the Pout-á-Porter series-L'Absolu Rouge in Chris & Tell.
XOXO,
Awilda

FOTD: Zoe Saldana's Subtle Elegance
Hi Beauties,
I hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend! The weather in NYC is extremely hot but I personally love it.
I wanted to share this photo of the beautiful Zoe Saldana with you. I love this photo because the makeup is so subtle but yet extremely sexy. I had the pleasure of bumping into Zoe outside of work one day and she is so stunning in person. The girl doesn't need any makeup at all.
Xoxo,
Awilda

Kim Kardashian's Natural Glow Makeup Look
Hi Beauties!
I was so excited when Kim Kardashian's Makeup Artist, Mario posted this look on his blog. It is by far one of my favorite Kim Kardashian looks and I think alot of people also asked him to post the "Get the Face".
Here it is!
On skin- Creme de la Mer Moisturizing Cream all over skin first. NARS sheer glow foundation in Barcelona applied with a sponge.
Under eyes, use Smashbox Camera Ready Full Coverage Concealer in Meduim Vanilla. Set the face with Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder in #2 using very little.
Brows are filled in with Brow Sculpting Pencil by Sephora, in Medium. Brush them through with the opposite end of the pencil once filled in.
Eyes – Sweep Josie Maran EyeShadow in Vintage all over the lid. On the crease and also smoked along the lower lashine, use Cacao EyeShadow, also by Josie Maran. Line the upper lash line with Sephoras Doe Eyed Felt eyeliner in Black. L’oreal Voluminous Mascara in Carbon Black on top and bottom lashes. For some added drama, use the long individual false lashes by Ardell on the outter upper corners.
Warm up and frame the face with Smashbox bronzer in Suntanne Matte. Also brush some on the hollows of the cheeks. Sweep NYC New York Color Color Wheel in Peach Glow on the apples of the cheeks and a bit across the forehead and chin.
To get that gorgeous, glowing skin, use EYE M GLAM highlighter. Brush it on your cheekbones, down the bridge of your nose and right on the cupids bow of upper lip. I also used it on her brow bones and inner corner of her eyes.
Line lips with Urban Decay’s 24/7 Glide on Lip Pencil in Heavy (shimmery nude shade). Use Captivating Coral lipstick by Motives and follow with Covergirl Wetslicks gloss in Fig.
XOXO,
Awilda

2010 Oscars: Sandra Bullock Makeup Via Chanel
Tonight was Sandra’s big night and she was in a happy, ethereal mood. I wanted her to look like the true movie star she is, so we went with modern classy Hollywood – dewy skin, soft eyes, and a bold classic red lip.” — Angela Levin
Angela prepped Sandra’s skin with CHANEL Sublimage Fluid. She then used a foundation brush to apply CHANEL Vitalumiere Satin Smoothing Fluid Makeup in Shell all over the face.
Angela created a structured brow with the soft brown powder in the limited edition Les Regards de CHANEL Palette. She lined Sandra’s eyes with the darker brown shade in the same palette.
Finally, she applied three coats of CHANEL Inimitable Waterproof Mascara in Noir for sexy, glamorous lashes. To create the real focus of Sandra’s look – a gorgeous, bold red lip – Angela applied CHANEL Rouge Coco Lip Colour in Paris. She finished the look by gently dabbing a bit of the same lip colour on the apples of Sandra’s cheeks – Angela’s signature makeup trick.
